Every contractor on Hubidx is verified before they can submit proposals:

- Background check (Platinum tier)
Contractors display their trust tier publicly. You can see who is truly verified.
2. Legal Contracts
No more handshake deals. Every accepted project automatically generates a binding legal contract that:
- Defines scope of work, materials, timeline
- Specifies payment terms and warranty
- Requires e-signatures from both parties (E-SIGN Act compliant)
- Includes Texas-jurisdiction dispute resolution
- Generates a downloadable PDF for your records
3. Escrow Payments
Money never goes directly to the contractor. Hubidx holds payments in escrow:
- 40% upfront for materials (held in escrow)
- Released to contractor only when work begins
- 60% final payment held in escrow during work
- Released only when you confirm completion
- Disputes pause fund release for mediation
4. Dispute Resolution
If something goes wrong, you have options:
- Open a dispute directly through the platform
- Hubidx mediates between both parties
- Funds are held until resolution
- Photos, messages, and contracts are reviewed as evidence
- Hubidx can refund, partially release, or release based on findings
🚨 Red Flags to Watch For
Even on Hubidx, stay alert. Report contractors who:
- Ask you to pay outside the platform (this voids ALL protection)
- Demand 100% upfront payment
- Refuse to sign the Hubidx contract
- Pressure you to skip the escrow process
- Show up with crews different from those on their profile
- Provide license numbers that don't match Texas records
Off-platform transactions are not protected. If a contractor asks you to pay in cash or via Venmo/Zelle/Cash App directly, refuse and report them at safety@hubidx.com.

- Ask questions in chat (only available after contract signing)

🆘 Reporting Issues
If you experience or witness:
- Fraud or scam attempts
- Harassment or threats
- Misrepresentation of credentials
- Off-platform circumvention attempts
- Property damage or unsafe work
- Discrimination based on protected characteristics
Report immediately to safety@hubidx.com. We investigate all reports and take action including account suspension or law enforcement referrals.
